Power Monitoring Done Right

The Plugable USB-C Voltage and Amperage Meter Does the Job Well

We Say:

Buy It

Great

  • Quickly see if your devices are getting the best power source
  • Works with anything that has a USB C socket (that we could find and test)
  • Volts and Amps are within +/- 1 unit of other monitors

Not So Great

  • Nothing

When tested on a PC, several different power supplies, chargers, phones, cables, SSDs, and more it never failed to give accurate and useful information. We tested it up to 130 Watts with no problems. It worked bidirectionally, so if you have devices like power banks that can both give and take power through USB C you can see that here. A small button on the side of the device rotates the information display so you can view it no matter which side of the meter you are looking at.

After using this meter for a week it’s hard to find any faults. If there is one tiny rough edge it is that the meter can be a bit wide in size to fit next to the USB ports on some devices. This was easily solved, however, by moving it to the other end of the cable and away from a cramped plug in space. If you need this kind of device you can stop your search and just go buy this one. Really.
